Steve Bennedik
Steve Bennedik is Head of Technology at Sky News. He launched the first interactive TV news service (Sky News Active) in 2000, the Sky News Ireland channel in 2004, led the award-winning front and back-end re-launch of the Sky News website in 2008, in 2010 played an important part in launching Sky News HD, and produced the first 3D Sky News production (General Election Debate). Most recently he was responsible for the planning and delivery of the Sky News Arabia website skynewsarabia. com
Steve worked for the Yorkshire Post, BBC and Yorkshire Television before joining Sky News, where he was Executive Producer on various programming strands, later moving into Digital and Technology management. In his current role he supervises the Technology roadmap and personnel, newsroom systems, in addition to project work involving emerging digital products and innovation.
