Biographical Data
Peter MacAvock a Program Manager with the EBU’s Technical Department. He heads the team responsible for projects relating to delivery technologies and software platforms. Amongst other things, he is responsible for spectrum matters and high level projects related to Hybrid Radio and Television including HbbTV, DVB, RadioDNS and others. He is an Irish national living and working in Switzerland.
Formerly Executive Director of the DVB Project, he was responsible for the team charged with the day-to-day running of the DVB Project..
With EBU TECHNICAL, Peter MacAvock retains an active role in standardisation bodies such as DVB, DRM, ETSI, WorldDMB amongst others.
