With more than 11 years hands-on experience and international exposure in strategic and operational management in pay-TV and telecom in CEE and Balkans, Mirek is the founder and owner of MSCG a successful consulting boutique linking telco, pay-TV, technology and content providers across CEE region. The newly established company focuses on delivering on-demand teams made out of best breed of industry experts to ensure quick implementation of future proof TV, social networking and multimedia solutions. MSCG clients include the largest global mobile telecom and satellite operators, Top4 management consulting companies, private equity funds and investment banks.
In February 2012 Mirek has been also appointed the Executive President CEE, Connected TV Marketing Association, a trade organization aiming at increasing global awareness of connected-TV business opportunities.
His previous experience in TV area covered multiple areas: from commercial strategy definition and execution, through multi-million EUR content deal closing and pay-TV portfolio management, to management of complex TV organizations and projects like IPTV platform launches. Aged 29 he was appointed the youngest General Manager of a DTH platform worldwide and during the next two years has grown the Romtelecom Dolce to more than 1.3 million set-top boxes, bringing TV revenues above broadband ones. Moreover he is among few people in IPTV industry that conceptualized and launched two different IPTV platforms in two different markets (O2 TV in Czech Republic and Dolce Interactiv in Romania) that currently have together approx. 200,000 subscribers. Mirek was also involved in a working group focusing on strategic content partnerships and TV business development in the region of Southern and Eastern Europe, part of the cooperation between Deutsche Telekom -OTE Group. Other experience in telecom and media sector includes working for mobile and fixed-line operators like Telefonica O2, Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa, Telekomunikacja Polska and Energis.
