Matthias serves as Head of Marketing in Vodafone’s Home TV Competence Centre. In this role, he assumes global responsibility for the TV customer proposition and product management - with a particular focus on usability and interaction design -and operational responsibilty for TV revenues in Germany. Matthias built the Marketing team from scratch and oversaw the development of Vodafone TV,a novel hybrid broadcast & IP service,from concept design to launch in February 2011.After 1 year in service, more than 100.000 customers are using Vodafone TV.
In previous roles, Matthias gained a strong track record in developing and marketing innovative product propositions across all 3 screens: mobile, PC and TV. Fluent in 3 languages, he worked in Vodafone operating companies in Germany and France (SFR) as well as the global headquarter in London, UK.
A native German, Matthias holds an MBA from Henley Management College, UK and a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen Technical University, complemented by research at École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris and University of California, Irvine USA.
