Mark Burchfield, Managing Director, Cablecom Networking
After Graduating from Sussex University with a joint degree in Physics and Business Management, Mark pursued a career in engineering culminating in a Directorship for a large national Electro Mechanical Engineering company. In the 90’s Mark moved into the IT sector concentrating efforts on the managed service sector within the City of London. Mark joined CableCom Networking Ltd as Sales Director in 2002, and helped create the Managed Service business shortly afterwards. As result of an MBO supported by ISIS Equity Partners, Mark became MD of the company, and with his senior management team he has transformed the company, focusing on delivering specifically targeted student accommodation Internet based services. One of those Internet based services is IPTV. CableCom have been delivering IPTV services to students for ~7 years. The CableCom IPTV platform now reaches 300,000 students in the UK. CableCom are the market leading provider of student accommodation communication and multimedia services, providing broadband, IPTV and telephony and a wide range of others to over ~300,000 students and over 60 universities in the UK.
